Gordon Shaw, Jr. is a tough-on-crime prosecutor with nearly two decades of courtroom experience serving the people of DeSoto County.
A 2008 graduate of Mississippi College School of Law, Shaw has been licensed to practice law in Mississippi since that year.
He began his legal career at Walker Brown & Brown, P.A. in Hernando before going on to serve as Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Horn Lake from 2012 to 2020, where he prosecuted misdemeanor crimes and DUI cases and worked closely with local law enforcement to keep the community safe.
Shaw later became a partner at Graves, Smith, Palmertree & Shaw, PLLC, and subsequently operated Gordon Shaw Attorney at Law, PLLC, gaining extensive courtroom experience handling serious criminal matters.
In January 2024, Shaw was appointed Assistant District Attorney for DeSoto County by, where he has successfully prosecuted multiple felony cases from child sex cases to violent crime and continues to fight for victims and public safety.
Shaw is a graduate of Leadership DeSoto, a longtime member of the Mississippi Prosecutors Association, and currently serves as an Archery Instructor for DeSoto County 4-H, investing in the next generation of leaders. He is also a member of the National Rifle Association.
He lives in DeSoto County with his wife, Amanda Kimsey Shaw, and their three children; twins Julia and Janna, and their son Gordon “Trip” C. Shaw III.
